Directions to the Foster Harris House

The Foster Harris House is situated in the heart of Rappahannock County, 66 miles southwest of Washington, DC and just two blocks from the Inn at Little Washington. We are 13 miles north of the Shenandoah National Park and Skyline Drive as well as centrally located to some of Virginia's best vineyards and wineries.

• Take I-66 West to exit 43A (Gainesville), which is 29 South to Warrenton.
• Drive 10 miles to the divide, then follow signs for Warrenton.
• Drive 3 miles, then bear right at a traffic light to continue on 211 West (there will be a Burger King and a Howard Johnsons on the right side).
• Drive 23 miles, then turn right at the exit for "Washington, VA," Warren Avenue.
• At the stop sign, turn left onto Main Street. (The Inn at Little Washington will be on the right)
• The Foster Harris House is on the right side about two blocks up the road. The entrance to the parking area is just after the house.

• Take 28 south to I-66 West.
• Follow directions on opposite page from Washington, D.C.

• Take I-81 North to Luray, VA.
• From Luray, take 211 East. Go about 35 miles.
• Turn left at 211 Business (Main Street) in Washington, VA. Go 1 mile.
• The Foster Harris House is the first house on the left after you enter the town limits. The parking area is on the left just before the house.

• Take I-95 North to Fredericksburg.
• From Fredericksburg, take 17 North to Warrenton (about 38 miles).
• Turn left onto 211 West (just past Fauquier Hospital on left).
• Drive 23 miles, then turn right at exit for "Washington, VA," Warren Ave.
• At stop sign, turn left onto Main Street. (The Inn at Little Washington will be on the right).
• The Foster Harris House is on the right side after about two blocks. The entrance to the parking area is just after the house.

• Take I-81 South to Exit 300 which is I-66 East.
• Take Exit 6, Front Royal, Route 522 South
• Stay on Route 522 South for 19 miles (be sure to follow signs for 522 South, because there are a few turns in Front Royal). 522 South will end at a T intersection with a stop sign.
• Turn right onto 211 West. Go 2.4 miles.
• Turn right at exit for "Washington, VA," Warren Avenue.
• At the stop sign, turn left onto Main Street. (The Inn at Little Washington will be on the right)
• The Foster Harris House is on the right side after about two blocks. The entrance to the parking area is just after the house.
